I've used clip boards like this before without the extra tray, but this one seems to have a learning curve. When the product came the pin holding the center tray had pulled half way out and was jambing up the movement, once I put the pin back in place it worked smoothly. I like the extra tray for dividing papers, but it seems to get in the way. The clip holding the inner tray is some what difficult to adjust, if you bend it so it holds the tray better, then it is hard to close as you have to try to push the tray up while holding the clip. If you bend the clip so it closes easier then it does not hold the weight of the tray when you open the box. The inner tray is removable, so if I get sick of dealing with it I can remove it.

My father had a storage clipboard for many years before I baught this one for him. Hed loves that it has dual tray storage and uses it every day.

The product appears to be just what I wanted, but the link on Amazon says that it comes with a calculator which is why it's a little more expensive then the next cheaper model. "Product Description

Mine came with no calculator which means that I paid a few dollars more for no reason.
I've also been waiting to receive a link of some kind where I could "contact seller" to let them know, but since no link every showed up on Amazon I decided to write this "less then perfect" review in the hopes that this oversight would eventually reach somebody's attention.

Trucker (OHIO)
allows to keep forms with the clip board and to keep certain forms in a particular section of the clip board with others in the second section. a large writing area. But not extremely durable. But appears to be good for truckers.
Overall a 5/5 as long as you dont abuse the clip board too much then it is perfect.
As said great for truckers who have to keep track of many forms.

I bought this for my peace officer (8+ years) duties but found this to be more a danger than help.
The Saunders Recycled Aluminum Cruiser-Mate 21017 has the following problems.
- All of its edges are knife cutting sharp. Including its self-locking latches & clip/latch.
- Every corner is spear sharp.
- Poor workmanship & quality control. Crooked parts & alignment.
- Low quality pads on bottom that may absorb unwanted fluids. Most likely they will only last a few weeks and leave an ugly mess on the bottom.
- Clip Board top/lid extends about a 1/8 inch out on all of the edges so it may get caught on objects & allows for accidental opening of the storage & bending/damage to the lid.
- Clip springs are overpowered. Clip edge affords little grip & too slick plus it cuts objects.
- I.D. holder is too tight. Also its too slick, pushing objects out, and the springs get in they way of placing an item.
- The self-locking latches are too easy to open but too difficult to self-lock.
All in all if you do NOT like getting cut or having your gear being torn up do NOT get this.
P.S. FYI it does NOT have a LCD calculator as stated in the product description though it is obvious in the item picture to this fact.
