Very useful lamp and works like a charm June 24, 2010 Theresa Dickison (Milwaukee, WI) I recently purchased this lamp for my Mom when I was remodeling her craft room for her. I required a light source that could clamp onto a table or work area and this fit the bill. It's very agile and movable so that my Mom can move it around to see what she needs to at her sewing cabinet and also at her big craft table. It's no problem to install. You literally turn a knob to clamp it onto a work surface and unscrew the knob to remove it. I use a 100 watt long-lasting bulb which gives plenty of light for my purposes but you could put other bulbs in it. I wouldn't recommend it for halogen bulbs because it's usually close to you and halogen would end up getting hot or possibly burning you.
Poor quality poor craftsmanship. February 8, 2010 Carlos A. Gomez Vila (Bogotá, Colombia) Bought this lamp following posted reviews. Unfortunately my lamp arrived with loose bolts. I tried to assemble it but without the correct nut and bolt was unable to do it. So I was unable to use it. Since I live outside the States it was quite expensive to send it back so it was not an option and had to throw it away. It really stands up to "made in china quality".
the bracket is a problem October 12, 2009 Starboard (New England, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The lamp is of good quality, but the clamp/bracket (as others have mentioned) is sub-par. Yes, the bolt's a bit undersized and the hole for the lamp base is too large. For my purposes, the biggest issue is the lack of a 90deg position for use on desks and shelving with vertical boards for clamping. We had to cannibalize the clamp from my 20-year-old swing lamp to install this new lamp.
great September 16, 2009 J. Snowdon (Virginia) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works great, just what I needed for my studio table, and the price was right too!
EXCELLENT QUALITY, DON'T BE CONCERNED August 31, 2009 Passport (East Hartford, Ct) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Grandich replaces a Ledu lamp of similar appearance. The Grandich is greatly superior. I don't agree with the reviewer who disparages the quality/workmanship.
I am very pleased with the Grandich and would definitely buy it again.
