5 out of 5 stars Load the drivers   September 9, 2010
Mr. L. Smith (New Jersey)
I followed the directions from the reviews and loaded the windows 7 driver. The default driver was from 2009 (if I remember correctly.) With the new driver I am satisfied with the purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome - 1 - 4 bars in seconds - works period !   September 7, 2010
Adam Shupack (Lawrence, NY United States)
Works as stated. Extended my bars from 1 to 4. Amazing ! Increases range very well. Great product that does the job for a inexpensive price.

5 out of 5 stars Super performer at a good price   September 7, 2010
John J. Sheehan
After a comparison of specs of other adapters, this unit matched adapters costing more than twice the price. I am located in a fringe area, and wireless performance was sketchy of non-existant. Installation was simple and quick. I was immediately pushing 5 bars on the router that I wanted, and an additional 5 routers were suddenly visible. Has been in use for two weeks, and I couldn't be happier.

Shipping was prompt, and the product was well packaged. A VERY solid product. I'm running a dual-core pentium with 3 megs and Windows Vista.

5 out of 5 stars WiFi antenna booster   September 5, 2010
Derek J. Cusworth (Hollywood, CA, USA)
Works well and definitely improves signal strength reception. Had some minor problems loading as there was a software conflict with certain Malware programs but resolved easily. Otherwise am very happy with the device and especially at the cost.

5 out of 5 stars Works well with XP PRO and Windows 7 64bit.   September 4, 2010
Brian MCSE
This was my third wifi adapter purchase. It was also by far the least expensive, however, the price may be deceptive. This unit performs as well or better than my Netgear units. The panel antenna picks up a much stronger signal than any other wifi adapter I've used. I started out on windows xp pro and then changed over to windows 7 64bit on my new computer. The factory CD worked great to install with XP PRO, however, Getting this unit to work with windows 7 64 bit was a bit tricky. However, the issue is windows 7, not the GSKY unit. I had to try several different web sites advice before I finally located the right solution. The bottom line is that this unit requires the Realtek RTL8187 driver specifically designed for windows 7 64bit. There were several websites which said that the drivers required for windows 7 64 bit were the same as the windows vista drivers. I wasted a lot of time trying to get these to work with no success. Once I located the correct drivers, they installed very easily but with a completely different method than that which the factory software uses. Windows "installer" is used by the downloaded drivers. In addition, unlike the factory software, the system needs to "re-boot" after installing the new drivers but then "fires" right up.
Since installing the new drivers about two months ago, I have used this GSKY unit almost exclusively because of the strong signal it recieves. The usb cord which came with my unit is long enough to allow me to place it a few feet away in a window. I'm not sure if the panel antenna is the reason for the great signal or if it's the main unit but either way, for the money, you definately can't go wrong with this purchase. I recieved it on time and well packaged, I found the Amazon reviewers comments extremely helpful. Many thanks to all of Amazon's reviewers for all of their help!
P.S. I watch netflix almost every night using the GSKY and it works great! The movies stay buffered about ten minutes ahead of my viewing consistantly.
